Installing troubles

I Just built my rig, Installed winxp pro, Installed all the drivers, all the applications i needed, but all of a sudden when i went to install World of Warcraft I was getting errors from the dvd burner saying it couldnt read a file, i tried installing far cry and got the same situation. I switched out the burners from another computer and got the same problem. anyone know why i can install driver and virus ware and spyware but not actual applications? my specs are in my sig if you need them.

Try all the usuals such as checking your BIOS for DMA mode enabled, try your drive on both master and slave, try it by itself, uhh... that's about all I can think of right now.

CD's scratched? Even the smallest scratch or smudge...

which drive are you trying to install the programs on? try taking some of the memory out and see if that is it. Are you running SP2 for XP? Do you have all the XP updates and patches installed? Can you install another program besides WoW?

We got the liquid cooling system today and hooked up the sensors and found that the GPU is over heating and crashing. We ordered the gpu cooling adapter for the liquid kit and are testing that next wednesday. it was getting to around 131 degrees F after booting and idling for 5min.
