Hello all,
I've been having some trouble lately with shut downs with XP Pro. It seems that about every other time I shut down from Windows, I get a BAD_POOL_CALLER bsod. It happens only with complete shut downs, never restarts. It also happens really fast after I confirm the shutdown, as in maybe a second or two, and a regular shutdown for me usually takes between 10-15 seconds. I've read that these are usually caused by bad drivers or software, but I haven't installed any new programs or hardware recently. I've also heard that it could be caused by NERO, which I have, but I don't use often and definitely not every time I get the error. If it's relevant, I move my computer around frequently and usually my onboard network card isn't detected until after I've powered up and done a restart. I've got the latest drivers for it, but it still seems to get lost whenever my computer is unplugged or after I've opened the case. Weird. I'm really open to suggestions on this.
