how do i open the metal pins inside the molex connectors??
I need to learn how to open these pins before i cut my fingers off !!
right now the wire's from the fans are held in place by tape,
and that's NOT a good solution, imagine the horror of waking up and findind out that one of those wires has shorted my Ti500 or mobo

The pins are crimped on. They are held inside the connecto housing by a retainer tab that is usually part of the pin. What I would do is cut and strip the wires. Then either use the smallest wire nut (with a coil inside) or go an auto part supply (even some hardware stores) and get insulated crimp-on butt-connectors. The crimp-on connectors will stay put in a car! You know they will stay put in a computer case!!

You can push the tabs in if you use a pin. Done it before and it works.

As willy says, you can get the pins out of the shell if you are carefull, I suggest you solder the new wires to the connectors because if you un-crimp them you have the chance of the original wires coming loose.
If you need help soldering let us know.

A Little Tip.... The hot end of the soldering iron is the end you don't wanna grab....There's only two things in life. But I forget what they are.
