HDD Error: Delayed Write Failed
Hi, I'm having a serious problem with my primary slave 200GB HDD. Heres some info to help solving it.
Everytime I try to read, write & even browse in windows explorer the error "Windows - Delayed Write Error" comes up in my system tray so my drive is basically rendered useless in terms of writing. I can still read (play mp3s) off the drive and ignore the error but I can't write anything. This is really irritating because the drive is only about 1 and a half years old. The exact model is HITACHI Deskstar 7K250 HDS722520VLAT80 -14R9203 200GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive - OEM
Is there any tool I could run (besides scandisk) that would check the drive extensivly for errors? I think Hitachi has a couple of tools I can run but what are some other options? I've never seen this error before so I dont really know where to start.
Here is a screenshot of the error and all the text it displays in my sys tray.

I would run Hitachi's tools to check it out.
