unable to retrieve hidden folders

im running a PC with windows xp home edition.

the problem: I recently noticed that when i set a folder as a "HIDEN" folder, I'm unable to retrieve the folder back as "READ ONLY". I am unable to locate all of my previous folders that I had set as HIDDEN (in the past) by opening the path location or search option.

Is there a way to retrieve those hidden folders?

Click on Tools then Folder Options click on View tab then from there you should be able to see an option "Show Hidden Files and Folder" click on that and click on Okay.

I also tried that before and I'm still unable to find my folders. Basically, any folder that I set as 'hidden' is unable to be found back with the "show hidden files/folders".
