mikomi m6517 webcam

Hi, i just bought a mikomi webcam, model m6517, after i installed it with the cdrom provided, windows would not see the webcam, even after rebooting the system. I tried to install and unistall a few times and as a result my pc crashed!!! i was wondering if it's a usb interface problem, because when i insert the webcam in the slot windows makes a strange noise (not the usual of when you connect some other hardware). Has someone got any idea or i'd better just return my purchase?

I have had exactly the same problem with my web cam and like you i have been unable to find any web site for the brand name of mikomi

I have even gone as far as to search download dot com and also driver dot com and both sites have no hits for this web cam either.

However what is going through my mind is that the box has the wrong information in/on it

If you watch the instalation as it progresses you will notice that the software relates to PC Camera "SN9C102"

I did a search for this and most of the informaiton brought up was for Linux and not windows

With that in mind i think mine is going to go back for a refund

Hi and thanks for your reply! It's crazy that this Mikomi hasn't got any customer care! Anyway, like you i took it back to the shop, it's a shame 'cause it seemed a cute little webcam

My daughter has just received a Mikomi M6225 web cam as a birthday present from her classmates but unfortunately everytime she tries to activate the web cam when on msn messenger, the internet connection is broken off.

The bad news is that "Mikomi" is a trademark used under license from Argos companies i.e. the catalogue store in UK - so there is not much chance of finding a technical website for support !!!- unless of course someone knows differently.

Unplug the cam. Uninstall all software and drivers related to it. Reboot. Install software and drivers. Now plug the cam back in. I hope that helps you.

all the mikomi cameras are manufactured and fully supported by ming jong
however you will need to be sure of your actuall product id otherwise ur buggered lol i expect by doing a quick google images search you should be able to find yours hope this helps

i know this is really old but anyway if i was anyone who has come across this page trying to find a mikomi driver
if i were u id get a refund
i just followed my own advice and i tried to install an old mikomi webcam i bought bcus it was cheap and it didnt install properly and when i tried to manually install it thru control panel etc my pc wud just crash everytime it tried to install
which the add hardware wud appear each time the pc restarted so it wud keep repeating itself over and over until i logged in in safe mode and deleted it

i wud suggest either refund, bin or the window
and go and buy a logitech end of
