Printer Uninstalitaiton

Recently purchased a new printer, when i try to uninstal my previous printer i keep getting a window saying

" C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/AUTOEXEC.NT. They system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application.

What is this and how do i uninstal my old printer?

This cryptic message is telling you that the AUTOEXEC.NT file cannot be found in the windows system32 folder.

Yes. I don't think your printer has anything to do with this.

It just happens to be the first thing you installed that is looking for the AUTOEXEC.NT file.

You don't need to re-install any CD. Your system, for what ever reason, is missing the AUTOEXEC.NT file. It happened to me before. All you need to do it got to c:\windows\system32\ on another machine and copy the file to a floppy. Then copy it to the system32 folder on your pc. If you want I'll e-mail the file to you. I would fix it though because sooner or later you'll have this problem again.

You can try installing the new printer. If it works your good to go. But sooner or later you should fix the problem.
