ECS P6BAT-A+ onboard sound

ECS P6BAT-A+ onboard sound

i have a ECS P6BAT-A+ with onboard sound C-Media CMI8738/C3DX Audio Device, i got the drivers from microsoft updates, after they were installed i tried it out but the audio was very faint i had to turn the speakers up to all, and when ever i turn on or off the speakers it made this loud noise, can anyone help solve this problem i need my sound working properly

hmm, go to driversguide website and search for drivers there.
U - drivers
P - all

you may be using non-compatible drivers

Grab the drivers from here: C-Media Audio Driver CMI8738.

well that didnt work nothing changed, anyone know about any manual settings i would have to change?

Have you clicked on the speaker icon in your taskbar and adjusted the sound volumes? You can also go to Control panel > Sound and Audio Devices and do volume adjustments there.

Nothing like that those are the first things i check i mean if they are any advanced options cause i am trying everything and if nothing doesnt work can some tell me how to disable the onboard sound?

Try going into device manager and removing the onboard sound. Reboot. Then reinstall using the drivers that you downloaded.

k that worked the drivers were installed but i still have this problem only time i hear something is when i turn up the speakers to all but even then it still is very faint, prolly it isnt the drivers i guess
