COMPAQ DVD ROM GD-5000
hi my dvd player wont read back ups at all it only read original dvds and other disc like mp3 n stuff

oh sorry i mean back ups of dvds on dvd -r or dvd +r it just wont read the disc

Check your media - try nother brand of disc - Had this problem with both theDVD and CD disks - Writter wouldn't write on one brand but did on another - Had to experiment.
