Which mouse is this?
I think it's optical and possibly wireless. |

It is probably from the surface of the table...on my desk, the optical I bought a few years ago never worked...because of the wood grain on it...try a ball mouse, and see if you have the same problem...just to make sure... |

This happens with opticals from time-to-time. Especially Microsoft mice. My work uses them and I've had 3 different models that all did it. The one I have now does it too.
It doesn't matter what type of mouse pad or surface I use so it's something with how the laser is tracking I guess.
I just have to live with it. |

The distance between the mouse and surface varies. Put the mouse on a flat (not shiny) book or mouse pad and it'll change your life. |

Look for the mouse (maybe in the drivers/support section)
Download the latest drivers
Install them
Bob's yer uncle. |
