PROBLEMS W/ new pc not detecting SATA 150 HDD

I just finished building my new pc. it has a GIGABYTE K8 Trinton (model # GA-K8NF-9), 2 GBs of RAM, Nvidia 6800, 2 DVD Roms, 1 S ATA 150. I've built pc's before and this is the first time ive ran into this. After i install Windows on to the HD, and reboot, i get this message saying ERROR: Hard Disk Not Installed PRESS ANY key to reboot. So i did, i was told to install drivers that came on a floppy w/ my mobo, thing is, this model comes w/ no floppy. So i tried to get ones off the site, pressed F6 when i was told too, and installed SCSI drivers from disk in the windows installation process. INstalled windows again (50 min) and rebooted, still Hard Disk was not installed, what should i do, please help!

Since you have EIDE ports as well, it's probably trying to boot off of them rather than the SATA ports.

Go into BIOS and set the SATA ports to boot first or second, at least 1st before EIDE ports are loaded.

You have to install the SATA drivers for the controller, not SCSI drivers. If it is intergrated the disc should have come with your board.
