Where is the files in the Recycle Bin located?

I have a hard drive that a friend gave me to backup some files on. I have the hard drive set as a slave and would like to retrieve the files that this person is looking for. The only thing is, the files where deleted from the hard drive and sent to the Recycle Bin. He didn't delete them from the recycle bin though.

Where can I find these files on the hard drive if I have the HD set as a slave?

I don't think there is a file, I think it's a program that removes the deleated file from the index, then protects it from being written over until you empty the recycling bin.

All drives and partitions have one, so there may still be a way to access it.

If you go into Folder Options and uncheck "Hide Protected Operating System Files" the recycling bin will show up on the slave drive. at least it does on my SATA drive 1. Drive 0 is my system drive.

what you can do is go to disk clean up (my computer> right click on slave drive> disk clean up)
and when the things that are useless come up, one of them is recycle bin. click on view files and his files should be there
