| My Windows XP Firewall forced to disable.
I just noticed that my windows xp firewall is disabled and i cant enable. Its shaded gray. Does any1 know how to get it back up?

Make sure it is enabled in services. Go to start>run and type in Services.msc. Check that Application Layer Gateway is enabled. |

It was enabled. I tried restarting but still no luck. |

If you have another software firewall installed, this is often a side-effect. Some software firewalls (I know Symantec does) will allow you to re-enable the Windows firewall.

ya go with zone alarm... having windows firewall disabled is actually a good thing... if you dont have any antivirus software you should download that as well. (sorry if you did- some people just dont get it)
