| Warning! CPU has changed. <--??
i got a new mobo (epox sli socket 754)
i got a new vid card (6800 GS)
i put it all in and started it up!
it went fine but said "CPU has changed! Re-enter CPU settings in the CMOS setup"
WTF? i cant get my compy to run now, and i am a noob at this, so for the love of god help me! kthxbye |

All ya should need to do is enter the CMOS (by pressing the necessary key) and save and exit the CMOS. The comp should restart and all should be well again.

WTF? i cant get my compy to run now, and i am a noob at this, so for the love of god help me! kthxbye | Take the battery on the motherboard out for about 1 min put it back in it should Go through a checking prosess and evreything should be fine. |

Flash and reset are two differant things. You still need to go into setup to set it for your new processor.
Usually all you have to do is enter setup, then save and exit.

i dont have a new processor... but w/e i got that part fixed, now i am having problems installing my sound card drivers. I keep getting some wierd error but installation continues and my computerm all of the sudden restarts, wtf is with that? |

Do a CPU reset with the computer unplugged from the wall.
And... Does your board require the extra 4 prong plug found on more and more M/B's? It is right next to the ATX plug in the screen shot I looked at.
