| Help!!! Audio driver (driving me crazy)
I have tried for several days uncountable hours. Read fourm after fourm. Just stuck. I reformatted comp. with xp pro and audio device just eludes me. Here is the info. Any help will be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

yes I do need an audio driver. Ive installed and uninstalled several and none of them worked. Thank you |

I've read forms about ppl having problems with pavilion audio drivers after reformatting. None seem to help my situation. This is a very diffucult prob. to resolve. |

have you tried windows update. you might be lucky and hook up a generic driver from microsoft.
chipset drivers too might help. |

yes the os is completely updated. Ive installed the chipset drivers as well. This is a real stumper. |

run windows update again and look for optional hardware updates.
are you sure everthing's plugged in correctly. speakers aren't plugged into the mic socket .......??
do you have any sound at all. |
