| Help!! Lose logitech cordless mouse with win2k.
Logitech makes great products, I own many of them.
But I seem to have a problem with my corldess freedom mouse.
After about 2-3 hours I lose it.
I have all the lastest drivers from M$ and logitech.
Please Help Me. |

When you say you lose it, do you mean the mouse cursor goes away?
If so: does the computer stop responding completely, or can you navigate using the keyboard? |

Interesting, I have a similar problem with my Cordless trackball. All of a sudden the motion was very jerky, and eventually stopped responding. Funny thing was if I moved the PS/2 to USB adapter a little, like wiggled it, the darn thing worked. But 10 minutes later the problem reappeared.
I think my problem may be a dead battery, but I won't know til tomorrow night (will have time to go buy some AA batteries). So I'll post back then and let you know.
Outta curiousity, what's your system specs? |

Usually when the cordless hardware is acting wacky, it is usually batteries. I would replace them and see if that helps.
Good luck

Just cant figure it out.

The problem may lie in the transmitter being misplaced according to the receiver. I get choppy mouse response if the transmitter is placed above the receiver, or the transmitter being placed behind some things, or the transmitter being too close/far.

That's a great idea....but I tried that guys.
The only other thing I can think of, could there be problems because the reciever is on my computer? But, wouldn't I lose the keyboard as well??
I thank all you guys for the info. |

Just a thought sMoKiE, after replacing the batteries (with Alkaline or Li I hope), did you reset both your mouse and transmitter/receiver?
Next, try another new set of batteries. (I've experienced dead batteries right out of the package (not many in recent years tho).
I've experienced the same with batteries just before it totally stops. I'm trying Li batteries right now to find out how much longer they last and then I'll figure out if they are more cost effective.
