Hey I am on the verge of throwing out my computer.. I recently had to reformat my PC because of some virus, I lost over 15GB of songs and about 40GB of movies...Countless data files. Like that wasent bad enough I now can't get any drivers working on my PC. I have a Geforce5200X and no clue what audio driver I have.. but I can't do anything on my computer with no sound or video except go on firefox and msn...

Can someone please point me to a working Geforce5200x Driver download the official sites driver doesent work and the other one I tried crashed my computer. Also do you know of a program that will specifiy what audio driver I have?

Calm down and take a few deep breaths ....... Everything will be all right.

You likely need to remove anything currently listed in the device manager under "video adapter" or "other", reboot the pc and feed it the correct drivers when it asks
What version of Windows are you running and what is the brand and model # of your pc or if home built what motherboard does it have?

Ok I removed whatever driver I installed before and restarted. Im running winxp..no idea what motherboard I have, because I know absolutly nothing about computers -_-

But I did download the driver off that nvidia site and it still didint work..

Download this program and run it. It will tell you what you need to know about your system.

I would bet that your motherboard drivers haven't been loaded either but we need to know what motherboard you have before we can help with that.

I got the video/audio working, thank god i just had to remove the stuff from device manager and then re-install.
