Question
USB Duplicate Hardware (device #2 #3 etc)

Hi there

This is only my second post so please forgive any departures from standard posting etiquette.

After swapping USB devices around several times on my PC (details at foot of post) - I get duplicate entries in the My Computer Window.

For example HP Scanjet 2100 #2, Webcam #4 etc.

How do I remove these entries?

Would be grateful for any help

Thanks

Chris

This is normal. Windows remembers devices not only by make, model and serial number, but also by connection. Hence, if you have three USB ports to plug your stuff into, you'll have up to three alternate driver instances for each of your devices.
