| TCP/IP connection between both computers
ok i need to set up remote administration however it says that i need to set up TCP/IP connection between both computers, how do i go about doing this ? what i am doing it for is because my mother is not to good with the computer and when she has problems she calls me and i have to sit on the phone for 2 hours and try to explain what she needs to do. so i figure by using remote admin i can help her out. I am heading to to her house and the instructions say that i need to install on the remote computer first, but before doing that i need to set up TCP/IP connection between both computers so any help would be great.
thanks !! |

Pretty much an internet connection is what it means.
Make sure if you set up something with remote desktop you forward the correct ports or allow it to go through the firewall |

If you set up anything dealing with remote admin you have to deal with people trying to break into it. Setup a strong password and change the port to something random to limit those scanning boxs looking for particular port of popular remote admin program |
