A good Worm and Trojan remover

I'm looking for the software that removes worm and trojan because currently, the 2 infects and manifest my computer systems

When I open one file (*.word etc), one file immerges (immerge out of no where) after that and it is an application type of the same name file.

When I try to delete the application file, it does delete it but it came back on again. Sometimes my system runs really slow, even when I go to the start button, the clock icon on my mouse appears without a reason. Like as if there is a really heavy program running at the same time.

I switch to system restore, back to the previous date and currently my system so far quite fine. But I don't think my system is safe.

Is there any free program on the net that you guys use to remove Worm or Trojans? I don't think it's a virus anyway.

    Peace and thanks a lot.

    i would run:

AVG, SpyBot S&D, AVAST, AVAST Cleaner & AdAware, try doing AVG and Spybot first, probably in safe mode and turn off your system restore, since viruses sometimes like to "hideaway" in there

all the programs listed are free... AVAST is an awesome free antivirus program, just make sure when you install it you configure the settings for sound. HAHA i woke up the other day to a firealarm type sound downstairs....
