Hopefully you haven't run into a bad card there. But the first thing to look at here would be
any antivirus or firewall utilities you have active on the system. Sometimes those will cause
some havoc with installers. Did Windows prompt for a driver disk upon first bootup with the
new card in? Check the device manager to see if the device is tagged with a yellow mark. It
is usually some driver issue where you have to try a few times to get it in right. Otherwise a
normal detection with disfunctional card would suggest hardware defect. You may have to
first remove the detected device in order for Windows to fully copy all needed drivers in. A
look in the device manager and an uninstall for redetection should work if the card is good.

saat 7130!!!!!!!!!
Hi,
I tried everything you said but it is still not working. It detects the hardware but it is unable to setup the software. I de-installed the hardware, software, tried re-installing software without hardware, same scenario. I GET THIS MESSAGE FORM wINDOWS, "the hardware was not installed because the wizard can not find the necessary software". I tried installing the software manually by specifying the location where to look for but it wouldn't work.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

It's most likely a configuration issue. Don't use Windows "found new hardware" wizard. Install the software via the card mfgr's supplied disk, then go to the card mfgr's website and download any updated drivers, unless the card software is smart enough to update itself. If that doesn't work, you might try reseating the card or maybe (as weird as this may seem) try another PCI slot. If you can see the device (card) in Device Manager and it's "working properly," then you have a good chance that the card is not DOA, but it's a driver (software) issue.

Sometimes a trip into the device manager to choose the uninstall option there will see that
prompt for the software disk again upon a reboot where it will grab all of the needed drivers
on the spot where the installer fails to get them in. Hopefully you don't have a defective cd.
A visual inspection for smudges and scratches is one item.
