Ive got another problem with a similar but different computer than my other thread, still an athlon 2500 on an ASUS a7n8x-x mobo, running a radeon 9200 vidcard. It was apparantly working fine last night, but when i try to power up, nothing happens. It makes noise and movement, but the screen stays on standby and the mobo doesnt make any beeps at all. I tried switching video cards to a 5600, nothing at all, i tried resetting the CMOS, nothing. Any ideas whats wrong? |

You didnt take the HD out of this one did you and used it in the other one? If so, this one may be corrupted to?

I did, but only after it wasnt working. I tried to start this computer to maybe take off the files i want from MY computer (other thread) but before i even got that far, my sister told me it wasnt working. I did take the HD from this computer, and i tried the other HD from the other thread in this one, with no difference. |

hmm could be, although this computer was running upstairs and wasnt running, before i brought it downstairs to the new location, and the computer from the other thread ran in the next room for years. Maybe ill try another room?
New update. I got this computer to run by putting a new power source in it. Bad news, it wouldnt load windows, got to the loading thing, and then freezes on a black screen. So i tried putting the HD from the other thread in it, it didnt recognize the first time, and now this computer wont start anymore. Disconnected the CDROMS, still not working. |
