Can't access CD-RW files

Hey guys!

One of my clients wants me to try to retrieve files from a CD-RW that she's having issues with. She says she can see the files on the disc, but it won't let her access any of them...she tried the disc on her neighbor's PC with the same results. I've never attempted to access inaccessible CD files, so I thought I would check with you guys to see if you have any experience with this or can possibly give me some ideas.
I'm picking up the disc in about an hour.

She didn't mention where the original files are/were located, but I'm picking up her computer this weekend to recover photos she deleted nearly a year ago...I'll ask about the CD-RW files as well. So far I've thought about copying them to a hard drive and trying to make a copy of the disc.
