I've been having some problems with my laptop lately. At first, it was just shutting down randomly. Sometimes when playing games or watching movies, and other times when I wasn't running anything. I thought that it might be a virus, so I decided to reboot. That in itself was difficult enough because it kept shutting off while I was rebooting. Anyhow, I managed to get it rebooted and cleared off the harddrive and reloaded Windows XP. I'm not yet sure if that's fixed everything, as it hasn't shut down on me, but then again I haven't run it for any periods of time longer than 45 minutes or so. Now I've run into a new problem though. I was using the discs that came with my computer to reinstall all the drivers and such, and I've managed to get everything installed but the video card drivers. And now when I try to look at a webpage and scroll, it moves very slow and it appears like the framerates are so low that I can see the webpage changing in front of me. I went to Nvidia's website and downloaded the drivers and tried to install them, but I got an error message saying that it didn't find any compatible hardware on my cmoputer. Any suggestions for either of these issues (what could have caused them or what to fix them)? Thanks.
