you any good at soldering? could get some wiring from radio shack and just solder them together and that might work.

Yeah I thought about the whole soldering thing but then I got worried. I guess I just need the same guage of wire and that should be good, correct? I will try to stretch it but it's almost a full inch that I have to go. I will try that first and let you know but, I might have to go through the whole soldering thing...LOL They don't sell these wires/connectors seperately, right? |

I don't know if they have the wires/connectors. If you do go the soldering route, don't worry about getting the same gauge cabling, as long as it is the same gauge or larger it shouldn't matter. Just don't go with 12 gauge wiring |

Will do, just tried to get the cords to stretch (LOL) had to try it... Of course it didn't work I will try the soldering bit this week.
Where do I cut the wire? By the black pin connectors or further down the line towards the jacks?
thanks for the help so far... |

I would just cut it off in the middle, give yourself plenty of room to work. Probably closer to the connector if anything because it is easier to get to. Worst thing you could do is cut too far up and maybe break the wire as you are trying to stip it and then not have anywhere to go. |

Alright, I actually took an old case power cord and used segments of that. Cut the connectors off the audio cord and soldered the segments in. Taped them all up and plugged them in...they work now !! Thanks to all of you.
One thing though, I had to use the jumpers on the pins still. I still had to short out the front panel return audio pins. I shorted out pins 4,6, and 7.
Thanks again. |
