guys any suggestions as to how i can recover data (pics mostly ) from a multi session dvd.......... my players just freeze up when i try to open files on the disc.
gonna go googling now but any suggestions are welcome
after your suggestion to run diagnstics i realised that neither of these fresh xp installs had ASPI installed, sio i installed it using forceaspi........still no dice
i burned all my pics and any home movies to it so that they wouldn't get lost if hard drive partioning got screwed up.
it did screw up......and the multisession dvd is unusable....i can see the folders but it kills explorer when i try to do more than look at the folders. nero did ask me if i wanted to "not use" multisession........ i'm a dope.
a little app called cd/dvd data recovery is now working its way through the stuff on the disc......slowly.
it is working.

has recoverd all my pics from the empty hard drive and just about every gif wav and png that was ever on my hdd.......... 80 GB it recovered from a freshly formatted empty drive
awesome.......just gotta sort through all this stuff now for me pics. but hey.
