wont boot up.

Could any please give me some idea of what is wrong with this computer, it is a Tiny laptop that just wont boot up. It starts to boot but then gives a screen that gives the option to start in safe, last good configuration or Norma.

If i select normall start up, iy just hangs and does nothing, it then also makes the other options un operable.

If i select safe mode, it displays a list of files and then once again just hangs there showing the files.

I have used the restore disc, it went through the motions of restoring and then said to re boot the computer, but was still the same, it just wont boot.

One other thing that would perhaps tell me some thing, is that some times the letters on screen, are not formed properly, ther are just dots in stead of continuous lines.

I was thinking perhaps a virus, but i reallt dont know. Does any one have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hmm.... IMHO, I think it's a disk problem... Run some HDD diagnostic tools...
Also, try to boot it from floppy/CD...
