| BIOS Failure
When i boot my computer it beeps a couple time and on the screen it shows up
" BIOS ROM checksum error" (i think)
I searched online for a solution and got a bootdisc from SOYO, and when i insert the disc the computer saids to press any key to continue but my keyboard wouldn'
t work so i cannot continue after that, the only way i can think of is extracting it and sending it somewhere for 30 dollars or sumting, but does anyone know an easier and cheaper solution? I'd appreciate any help |

Could be a couple of things. You should try clearing the CMOS. To do so, you need to unplug the system from the power, and move a jumper and/or remove the CMOS battery for about 30 seconds. The jumper position can be found in your motherboard manual. It may be labeled on the motherboard as JBAT or CMOS. A dead CMOS battery could also cause that problem. |

Does it still beep on boot-up? Can you describe the beeps and the error a little more thoroughly? |

Try reseating the memory, and try the memory in different slots, and taking out 1 stick at a time. |
