| Windows ME Shutdown Problem
Hi. I need help with a problem one of our computers running Windows ME is having. Whenever it gets shut down, it restarts instead.

Ok and you know rules about this. It require you post what model it custom computer or dell or HP? Can you tell us what you see when turn on computer and did pop error or just show me window then frozen or shut down then turn on again?
P.S. Is that computer on online?

It happened after we switched from dial-up to DSL. It's an HP computer. No error messages occur. It's just when we shut down, it starts back up. |

Ok did you get right driver?
If it not driver issues
Then you use google search for Spybot, lava soft Adware, and AVG free edition.
Try in safe mode it will work.

My dad (the owner of the comp in question) just ran SpyBot and now it works perfectly. Odd...

I am happy that computer is work now. What spybot say all thing and how many problem is? You should try Lavasoft adware it find cookies that cause messy files. Hope it help you enough. |
