Lines Across Monitor

Well today I've been having problems with my monitor. I've been getting these "lines" that streak across my screen. They'll show up for a couple of seconds then goes away. Anyone know why?

System Specs: PSU- *New* 410W Pcpowercooling Silencer.
CPU- 2.8Ghz
Video Card- *New* BFG 6800GS AGP
HDs- 250gb & 40gb

A similar thing happened with my friends computer. I hooked my monitor up and everything was fine. Although the video card could be at fault also. Try re-installing your drivers and checking the tempuratures to make sure if the card is at fault.

Maybe a GPU problem. Overheating?

My geuss might be the cable. Try tapping/putting pressure on the cable connected to ur moniter and GPU, and see if similiar symptions occur.

My screen turns a shade of pink and blue if i mess with the cable end near the GPU. Proly since i use a DVI-VGA adapter.

My Vid Card temp in 58. Tried tapping my monitors cord. But nothing. I guess I'll try reinstalling my drivers.
