| I need a new power supply.. help please.
Looking for a good power supply 500watt + to use in my system.
I am using a Asus P5B Deluxe (so need the 8pin power connection and 24pin connector). Cpu is a Core Duo 2 6600.
Also have 4 Sata drives..
4 fans.. 2 DVD drives.
and 1 BFG 7800GT video card (needs a power connector as well I guess or does it really get enough power thourgh the PCI-E bus? I will not be using SLI as this board does not support it)
Any links to a good brand name and model number would be great..
Thanks! |

Can't go wrong with an Enhance ENP-5150GH from eWiz.com via Froogle (save a buck or so that way). Really check those specs and the reputations of the mfrs and you'll see that nothing else beats it at under $70. + shipping.

Here's the "cheap but good" list from EOCF. You can also check that thread from the beginning for higher end PSU's, but they will be overkill if you're not overclocking & running SLI or CF. (apologies for the language in the link...)

Check the review of the 5140GH on http://www.JonnyGuru.com Enhance makes Silverstone PSUs and until Dell bought them, Alienware used Enhance PSUs almost exclusively.

I don't know, maybe he's updating his site... I'll try to find out and report back.
