New Power Tool: HAWKPE ** 4-Mar Update

Folks:

FOUND A WEB GEM ! Here's the pkg description: ** 4-Mar ** See last msg in the thread

Quote:
A fully-functional BartPE (Windows XP SP2) + Linux (Slax KillBill Ed
5.1.8) live CD ISO. Comes w/ Windows Explorer, AdAware SE + McAfee AV
updated as of 11-Nov, FoxIt PDF Reader, FileZilla FTP Client, Ghost 8,
UltraVNC (!), Partition Magic 8, CHNTPW, WIPECMOS, DocMem RAM
Diagnostic, etc. Boots to BartPE by default. Download
README-HAWKPE.TXT in advance, for details about the package.

Download HAWKPE

If you're new to torrents, sorry but I can't help w/ that. There are
web pages that offer assistance, including the home page of a free BitTorrent
client: uTorrent. GOOGLE anyone ?

Anyway, if you need Windows on disc, to fix your virus/spyware-infested PC,
you need to test/rebuild your PC, crack XP/2K passwords, or simply want to
try Linux w/o reformating your hdrive, *and* your know what a torrent
is, check out the HAWKPE link above.

Amazing enough, but there are many who don't know what BartPE is, anyway
it's the Windows XP environment distilled into a form that can operate
entirely from a CD/DVD. Since it's Windows, you can edit user registries,
clean viruses/spyware w/ native Win apps like McAfee+AdAware+a2Hijack,
access the web w/ Internet Explorer, save/restore system images using Ghost,
or remote into other PCs using Remote Desktop *or* (for XP Home boxes)
there's UltraVNC, the open-source remote control tool.

Slax is Linux for everyone else. You get a Windows-like GUI (KDE),
multimedia support (media players+CD/DVD burning/ripping), Internet
access+tools (incl Firefox), Win32 emulation via WINE, and an office suite
(KOffice.) If you have a USB thumb drive, you can carry your own complete
computer system in the palm of your hand.

This is coolness. Later.

PS: While you're at it, get a copy Hiren's Boot CD. I'm pretty sure you can get that from slotorrent.net when you're downloading HAWKPE. Or GOOGLE it ! Finally, get the Ultimate Boot CD and you've got a complete complement of some best tech toolz on the 'Net. If you can't fix that PC w/ these three CDs, it can't be fixed at all !

For Those Who Don't Grok Torrents....

If you don't grok torrents, here's something more conventional....

HAWKPE-36 Update

Comes w/ Windows Explorer, AdAware SE + McAfee AV
updated as of 02-Mar, FoxIt PDF Reader, FileZilla FTP Client, Ghost 8,
UltraVNC (!), Partition Magic 8, CHNTPW, WIPECMOS, DocMem RAM
Diagnostic, MEMTEST, etc. Boots to BartPE by default. Download
README-HAWKPE.TXT in advance, for details about the package.
Significantly improved over previous torrents.

Slax is an excellent example of a portable Linux, which comes w/
Firefox+Flash-9, KDE's KOffice suite, and K3B CD/DVD burning
application. So with a USB thumb drive and HAWKPE, you can carry a
nearly-complete computer system with you at all times. And this edition
has been enhanced to include the NTFS-3g 1.0 filesystem driver w/ fully-
operational NTFS write support ! Enjoy....

PS: Depending on the source, you'll be downloading a compressed ISO as a
single, large .RAR file or a series of .RAR files and an .EXE (the
self-extractor.) Download *ALL* components in order to use HAWKPE....

Code:
http://rapidshare.com/files/19285881/HAWKPE-36.part1.EXE
http://rapidshare.com/files/19290359/HAWKPE-36.part2.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/19293572/HAWKPE-36.part3.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/19297754/HAWKPE-36.part4.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/19298410/HAWKPE-36.part5.rar
PPS: Better than UBCD, better than Hiren's CD. This is a real power
tool for repairing PCs.

HAWKPE-39 Update

A fully-functional BartPE/WinPE (Windows XP SP2) + Linux (Slax-6-RC6)
live CD ISO. Comes w/ AdAware SE + McAfee AV + ClamAV + SpywareDoctor
updated as of 20-Aug, Windows Explorer, SmartDriverBackup, PCITREE,
FoxIt PDF Reader, FileZilla FTP Client, Ghost 8, UltraVNC, Partition
Magic 8, CHNTPW (now Vista-compatible), WIPECMOS, MEMTEST, the
IBM/Seagate/WD hdrive diagnostics, etc. Boots to BartPE by default.

Slax is an excellent example of a portable Linux, which comes w/
Firefox-2+Flash-9, KDE's KOffice suite, multimedia goodies, and the
latest K3B CD/DVD burning application. So with a USB thumb drive and
your HAWKPE CD/DVD, you can carry a multimedia-enabled computer
system, with you at all times. Enjoy....

Just fixed an annoying problem w/ initial video resolution that caused
BartPE to crash, on a handful of PCs. If you've tried earlier
versions of HAWKPE, but had problems w/ the Linux part, Slax-6 plus
the changes to the main menu means that virtually everyone will be
able to use all of HAWKPE successfully. Slax-6 also supports all new
motherboards, so that (in particular) SATA users will be able to enjoy
HAWKPE this time around.

As a recap, here's the most up-to-date inventory of what's on the
BartPE of the disc:

A2Hijack
AdAware SE Pro
AusLogic Defrag
Broadcom 44xx-NIC Drivers
Broadcom Extreme-NIC Drivers
Clamwin AV
Filezilla
FoxIt PDF Reader
Ghost 8
HWPnP
Intel-10-100-1000MHz NIC Drivers
Intel-810 Display Drivers
Intel-Extreme Display Drivers

PCITree
PowerDefragmenter
PuTTY

Smart Driver Backup
Spyware Doctor

WinRAR

PS: Depending on the source, you'll be downloading a compressed ISO as
a single, large .RAR file or a series of .RAR files and an .EXE (the
self-extractor.) Download *ALL* components in order to use HAWKPE....

For those who grok torrents, try this one.

Code:
http://rapidshare.com/files/50247621/HAWKPE-39.part1.exe
http://rapidshare.com/files/50254634/HAWKPE-39.part2.rar

Some of those programs are not being legally distributed in that package and TechIMO does not support pirating of any software.

Um, you can just extract your RAID drivers in a new folder in the BartPE folder > Plugins > Drivers. BartPE will load them up automatically.

This is a year old thread. Please start a new one when you need help.
