I am hoping that this problem is something really easy to solve by some of the tech wizards on here. I have always gotten help when I needed it.
I just replaced the hinge extensions on my Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop. Computer was working well enough for me but the right hinge was kaput. Was always afraid the left would break off so I got two new hinge extensions.
Anyway, after disconnecting the LCD and replacing the hinge extensions, and then plugging the LCD back in to the 'little plug in area thingy' inside the laptop and starting the computer the LCD turns on and stays on BRIGHT, so bright that nothing can be seen on it, no curser, no icons etc. It sounds like the computer is going through the correct start up and all but there's no way of knowing for sure because the screen is just a bright screen.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to start?
Mike
