heh, I always format from DOS, soi thats why I was confused. I didn't know you meant like having your comp physically connected to the net. Heh
glad to hear you got it up without blowing up the comp

I was surprised that it didn't blow up!! NO I'm j/k I did go into dos and I was confused to...but I think a permenate connection is always connected so that is why you are allowed to connect to the internet while formatting.
