.Net Framework

OK, I recently downloaded and installed beta for Exteel and mid-install it made me install .net framework. I waited for the status bar to complete, and after that it kept going for 3 more bars. The message said it was taking longer than expexted (no kidding.) So i cancelled everything and after a while I checked my task manager and computer usage was over 100% but nothing was running. So i reboot and download .net 3.0 and try installing it. (by the way the game doesnt even start up) After about 30% on the status bar of the .net it stops moving and my computer usage is AGAIN 100%. I quit that and it stays that way. Im running winXP home. Why wont this install? And anyone know if the game NEEDS .net framework?

If it's trying to install the .NET framework, then it most likely needs it.

How long are you letting the install run? Try kicking it off before you go to bed and let it run overnight.

You're logged into an administrator account, right?

Yes I am the admin. Its a Home PC. Anyways I let it run overnight and nothing happened. Basicly it freezes after 30%. sometimes explorer (not internet) fails and i have to reboot.
