Ahhhhhhhhhh some one pls help before i go spend money that im might not need to
Im not getting a signal from my vid card, its my first build and im not sure whats going on, im using the vga converter, and nothing is happening pls, i could use all the help i can get, my card is in the first PCI- E slot, everthing boots up fine, but i just dont get whats going on!

you might have the settings set too high for your monitor... im assuming you have xp, you can try booting into safe mode ( vga mode) if you have xp and set the video settings to the minimum. that usually fixes allot of problems... vga mode automatically sets thos settings to minimum while the safe mode you have to do it manually by going to display properties and setting it yourself
also another thing to check, if your monitor supports both digital and analog signals, make sure that its set to analog if your using vga

Need Computer Specs...Motherboard, CPU...etc. When you say the Computer boots up, but there is no Video...Do you have video before Windows kicks in?
