Stuck before the boot menu.

Okay, when I turn on my PC it get to the first screen, its the screen where I can pick the boot menu(f10) or bios(f2), it stays at that screen and does not do anything after. I my keyboard does not work for some reason and I can not get into bios or the boot menu.

I have a Gateway
XP Media Center.



Edit.
After I waited a while it went to the bios, but after that it stayed at the same screen.

Edit #2. I think my IED cable is going out, I opened it up and pused them all in and now it works.

I dunno if your still having trouble what not but I had a mobo in one of my computers that would lock the keyboard until it was about ready to continue the boot and if I didnt wait until the num caps and scroll lock lights flashed on my keyboard it would "lock up" at that screen and I would have to restart it manually because the keyboard wouldnt work. May wanna try waiting til the last second to hit f2 or f10
