New build...

I'm thinking about getting this cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103539

However, if I get that cpu, what's the highest speed of ram I can get with it?
# DDR 333 (PC 2700)
# DDR 400 (PC 3200)
# DDR 433 (PC 3500)
# DDR 500 (PC 4000)
# DDR2 400 (PC2 3200)

and what pin?

# 168-Pin SDRAM
# 184-Pin DDR SDRAM
# 184-Pin RDRAM (16bit
# 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM

Also, I want to install 2GBs of ram in my new rig. Would 4 mod's be better, or
2?

-Thanks-

DDR memory is required for socket 939. You woud ideally want PC-3200 for stock frequency, or higher for improved overclocking.

Alright, sounds great. Thanks a lot.

Would this do the trick?

that memory should do dandy

on your other question I havent seen a problem with just getting 2 gig sticks but getting 4 512's should work just fine... havent seen either way make a real difference. but 4 512s could potentially be more stable somehow or another.

Use two modules if possible. Most of the multi-slot timing problems were resolved by the time socket 939 processors arrived to the mainstream market, but four modules on an AMD64 is not entirely ideal in all situations, plus it limits future upgrades. One day you might want to upgrade to 4GB - for example, playing high-end 3D games or running professional applications like Photoshop under Windows Vista.

As for memory brand, the link you provided is fine. Any of the mainstream retail brands like Crucial, Corsair, OCZ, etc. should suffice your setup.
