depends on the games that u want to use it with, some games u just cant, because the game wasnt created to take advantage of a controller
the software that came with whatever u bought or whatever you dig up on the internet should provide some configuration tools, but its mostly up to the ingames configurator to take full advantage of it
your probably going to have to do plenty of researching on it to get anything done, speaking from experiance of using the 360 controller
