computer randomly restarts.

ok guys i used to be on here alot, but now im back and i need help. my sig should have my computer specs...but here is the problem.

i could be doing stuff and my computer will just randomly restart. sometimes ill be closing my internet browser and it seems as if that triggers it, it also happens when i close stuff like ventrilo or even when i start games like counter-strike. other times it will just restart for no reason at all. i can just be watching tv and my computer will just turnoff and turn back on.

and suggestions about what this can be and how it can be fixed? i know my computer is not over heating because i am not over clocked at all, and my temps look fine.

Sounds like power supply issues. How many amps are on the +12V rail? Is it a dual +12V rail, 24-pin PSU? Check you voltages in Everest Home and post back what they are.

You also might want to turn off automatically restart on failure under system startup & recovery so you can read the BSOD if you are getting one.

well i use a smart guardian to check my temps and voltages and on there it reads ATX +12v = 11.71V

does this sound accurate or do i need to go dl everest?

That sounds OK, but how about your other voltages? And how many amps does your power supply provide on the +12V rail(s)? Is it a 24-pin PSU?
