HP 8766c, 900Mhz, 256, 40GB, XP Pro onboard RIVA TNT2 64. When start is selected you see shading to the right of each line of text. Actually the shading is there all the time.....even at the HP splash screen during post. I have tired several different monitors, tried 60,70, and 80 series drivers. Even tried memory for the heck of it. One thing of note is that in display properties it says it is a VANTA gpu and not RIVA. Any help would be appreciated and as always TIA.
