Text on CRT connected to DVI-I is blurry

I have an AGP ATI Radeon 9250 128 Meg Video Card.
I have a Dell 780 Trinitron CRT Monitor with settings at 1024x768 at 70 MHZ
I just added a Sony CPD-G220S Trinitron CRT Monitor with settings at 1024x768 at 100 MHZ.

When I connect either one to the DVI-I port (using the DVI to VGA adaptor) the text will appear blurry. It was worse when I connected with the setting at 100 MHZ. I tried the setting at 60 MHZ but then I got flickering. The clearest picture is at 70 MHZ.

I have a number of other CRTs (non trinitron) but they all about the same result.

I have another dual monitor set up with a PCI ATI Radeon 9250 256 Meg video card but don't have the same issue.

I have looked at ATI's site and several posts, but have not found anything that helps.....

So I am coming here to my new found wealth of knowledge for assistance.

Any suggestions?

100MHz I'm assuming you meant Hz, not MegaHz.

Stick to 70Hz. If you get blurring at 100Hz, it just means your monitor and/or video card doesn't have the video bandwidth to handle a higher frequency signal.
