PC won't start

I try to start my computer and the fans spin 1 rotation and it all turns off. It does not flash the bios or anything just shuts off.

I did a search and did the whole unplug things till it works. At first I thought it was my cpu since after I took that out it worked. Then I put the cpu back in and took the RAM out and it worked. I then put those back in and unplugged the drives and tit DIDN'T work.

Does this mean the motherboard is bad? Or could it possibly be the PSU?

What is the history behind the problem?
Is this a new build?
Was the pc working fine for a long time etc?

It is a computer I built that worked fine for a long time. Then about a couple weeks ago I started having this problem. It would do the start/stop thing but after a while it started up. Now it totally will not start.

Might have to be a little more stern with it. Make sure that it knows who's the boss.

I've seen these tempermental computers before. If you let it start to think it's O.K. for this kind of behavior, there's no end to what the computer won't do.

Now, you go over to that misguided PC and give it one for.

That was my first guess. It is an Antec SP-400 that came with the case.

UPDATE:

Went to a local computer parts store and picked up a new PSU. Got home and tried it out and it worked!
