I have a Chaintech VNF4 Ultra w/ 512MB RAM and a Athlon XP64 3200 CPU. THe problem is that I'm not getting video. So I tried re-seating the video card to no avail and I get a long beep and then a pause, then a long beep again and that sequence just keeps repeating until it shuts the PC down. I took the video card out and got the same beep, and the same happens when I take the RAM out. I have PhoenixBios as my Bios system. Thanks in advance! |

What's the history behind the problem? Is this a new build?

IMO ,Steve R Jones is right, need some more info about whats going on there. If not a new build ,have you made any changes either hardware, bios or software? Do you have an extra vid card that is known to work? Break your specs down Vid card PSU ect.
Looking for your beeps codes

Nothing has changed, this is not a new build. I just came home one day and the video wasn't working. Not sure what happened. I don't have an extra video card unfortunately. B/c the only extra one I have is AGP and this is PCI express video mobo. The video card is a GeForce 6600 GT 128MB RAM.
*Also on the beep codes page, there is nothing for 1-1-1 series of beeps, what does that mean? http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml#phoenix

It could be a memory issue. Swap out RAM if you can. |

I was thinking memory also.
You may try reseating them in the slots, changing them around. If you have 2 sticks, pull one and try it, then the other. In my experience, when it gives beeps like that it's normally RAM.
Hope I helped... |
