Need help with Dell laptop, Please

So i have this dell, only a couple years old, nothing wrong with the specs but its got xp and such. Heres the issue, when the laptop is plugged in, it works perfectly fine, but when its unplugged and moved around, it freezes, i have to take out the battery and memory and let it sit for about 15min and put them back in, as well as plugging the unit back in for it to work, could this be an issue with the battery, memory or OS??

My guess would also be battery...

ok heres another issue, i take the battery out, move it around, plug it in without the battery, and it still dont work
