You have to install the drivers for the TV card. Net framework will be in there, and should install fine then.

yeah i updated the drivers for the tv tuner card. here is the error message it almost gets done downloading and it says this:

"error 250.15. failed to install assembly c:/WINDOWS/microsoft.net/framework/v2.050727/microsoft.visualbasic.vsa.dll' because of system error: 0x80131107.

any suggestions? i've tried downloding network 3.0 but that didn't work either.

Are you sure that they are the right drivers?
Why don't you post some system specs. Including model # for the TV card..

Are you usinfg IE? If so, just for the heck of it and for testing, download it using Portable Firefox It doesn't requite installation at all, runs right from any drive including USB.

Now I know this doesn't exactly help fix what problem you have, but may help you get Net 2.0

M$ may want you to install a Windows validation plug in. Do so.

After you use Portable Firefox scrap it. It has been contaminated with M$ (B$). Download another.

Seriously, its 2.0.0.6, the current version is 2.0.0.7. You don't want to use it if your concerned about privacy.

You have to install .NET Framework before installing your vid capture software.
First, do a manual cleanup of the failed .NET Framework install.

Which operating system are we talking about here?

Check your Add or Remove Programs list to see if .Net 2.0 is listed. If it is, try to remove it from there. If you are unsuccessfule, use the MSICleanup utility from MS. I cna't remember the exact name (Windows Installer CleanUp), but use it to get rid of the .Net 2.0 existence to Windows.

I had this happen before, but it was only when an application was trying to install .NET 2.0. It was partially installed, so I had to get rid of it manually, then get the install from MS. It should be part of their Windows UPdates along with any service packs for it...not sure if 2.0 has SP's, but I know 1.1 does. Good luck!!
