killdisk joy

i have been a doughnut...i have erased all the data on my 2nd slave drive with killdisk, primarally to see if it worked, it has, but now when i click on my computer all the drives eg C drive (which is my main drive) D drive(1st slave drive) are present as well as all the removable drives but no E drive(the 1 just wiped)I understood that killdisk would wipe all data from the drive so it resembled a brand new empty drive and i thought that by removing the affected drive and reconnecting it again the pc might recognise a new drive had been installed but this is not the case.Bieng a slave drive it does not have windows installed as i am just using it to store data etc.its only 3.2 gig.can anyone enlighten me on how to make my pc recognise my little E drive again.im not a complete novice just not had much to do with this sort of thing.thanks.

You have to create a partition.

Killdisk zeroes the drive.

I believe you can do it in windows to create a partition.

Go to control panel > Administrative tools (classic view) > computer management > storage > Disk Management

Then I think you can right click on the unpartitioned space and create one.

You need to format the partition (the E drive). If you are using XP, right click on the My Computer icon and click on Manage. Under Storage click on Disk Management. Find the unallocated space, right click on it and click on format. Be careful to only format the unallocated space as formatting used areas will cause the data to be lost.
