Lost Administrative Privilages

Got infected by several malware programs (and maybe a virus), one program which you might have heard of called ultimate cleaner. I have been trying to remove it all, but thats not my main problem. The problem is one of the parasites disabled my administrative privileges on my user account so I can't access control panel, or anything like that. Does anyone know what to do?

What OS do you have? Assuming XP, you could try this however, nothing short of a complete reformat and install may cure your issue. Try to backup as much as possible before you do anything!

Yeah but I wanted to try something other than that if possible. Yes I have XP.
