    Question Password removal?

I have a box running Win98SE that I placed a password on. I'd like to remove it. How can I do this?

    (yes, I know the password)

    Hi,

Open Explorer click on Tools/Folder options/View

Put a spot in the circle next to Hidden Files and Folders then go to the Start Button/Search/Files Folders select your HD (or HD'S) and search for *.pwl Files.

This wont show you what the passwords are but you can delete them from here if you are able to get onto the machine.

    Cheers

Option #1 Do a search for PWL files. Delete them. Log off the computer then log back on. When it asks for a password click OK with out entering any info. It will ask to verify click OK again with out entering anything. This will set the password to blank and not as again.

Option #2You can also go into the control panel/passwords. Click to change password. Enter in the old one ( since you know it) then enter in nothing in the new password and confirm fields. This will also set your password to blank and not ask again.

If you have windows remember passwords for you I suggest using option #2.
If you do not have windows save passwords for you use option #1.

Option #1 will delete all passwrds that you have saved
