| COMPUTER FREEZES...HELP!!!
My computer has been freezing alot lately...i have a cel 533 prossesor..136 megs ram..10 gig drive..sometimes my computer freezes like 2 minutes after i start it..then when i try to restart it, it wont turn on.. the monitor turns on but it stays black..it says check signal, and then i try pushing the button over and over until it works. i recently defraged it and did scan disk, but it still froze. I check the device manager and there are no conflicts (!) then after i finally get it to turn on..it wont freeze for a while.. does anyone have any solutions? PLEASE HELP..
thanks |

does it have onboard video? If so what mobo do you have? Also are these freezes causing the blue screen of death or just freezing? I had some ram go bad on an old HP with win98se and would get blue screens right after another at times and then it wouldn't happen for days again,so you might want to check your ram.If the win98se install is old and you've added and removed very many programs you might want to run a reg cleaner software. |

well thier might be a problem with soem of the wires inside ur machine generaly the only time u should get a no signal if everything is working properly is when u shut down u might of enabled a option to turn of hard disks etc that might also be a cause but other than these geuses i have no idea an opton would be to open upur comp check all the wires are secure and yjen if thats not the problem u might want to try reinstalling....
